Barneville-Carteret is a small town and seaside resort on the west coast of the Cherbourg Peninsula. In 1964 Barneville-sur-Mer and Carteret merged to become Barneville-Carteret. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the town, on the D.42 road to St. Maurice at its junction with the N.803 road from La-Haye-du-Puits. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, in the north-western part, some 7 yards north of the Calvary in the main path.
