Location Information

Baarle-Nassau is a village situated 17.5 kilometres south-west of Tilburg and 22.5 kilometres south-east of Breda. The churchyard partly surrounds the Roman Catholic church, which is in the centre of the village. The seven UK war graves are at the rear of the church, against the western boundary.

14613243 Private Leslie Patrick Cassidy, 4th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment, died 21st October 1944, aged 19.

14714124 Private John Keith Chapman, 1st Bn. Leicestershire Regiment, died 8th October 1944, aged 18. Son of Samuel Arthur and Linda Louisa Chapman, of Countesthorpe, Leicestershire. His headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning We Will Remember Him"

14319263 Fusilier Eric William Corless, 11th Bn. 
Royal Scots Fusiliers, died 5th October 1944, aged 20.

102145 Flight Lieutenant David Frederick Evans, 263 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 14th October 1944, aged 24. His headstone bears the inscription "In Memory Of A Loving Son And Brave Airman, In Memory's Garden We Meet Again"

4862122 Corporal Arthur Hunt, 1st Bn. Leicestershire Regiment, died 5th October 1944, aged 29.

4804985 Lance Sergeant Edgar Taylor, 4th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment, died 21st October 1944, aged 24.

4750424 Corporal Arnold Worrell, The Hallamshire Bn. York and Lancaster Regiment, died 17th October 1944, aged 27.
Son of Henry and Margaret Worrell, of Darfield, Yorkshire. His headstone bears the inscription "Ever In Our Thoughts"
