Location Information

The village of Pernes-lez-Boulogne is 8 kilometres north-east of Boulogne-sur-Mer and 2 kilometres north of the N42 road to Omer.


Historical Information

There are 2 British graves in the churchyard, about 7 metres from the north-eastern corner of the church.



Burial Details

5610154 Lance Corporal Humbert Arthur Cox, 2nd Bn. Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, died 23rd May 1940, aged 39. Son of James and Amelia Cox; husband of Gwendoline Daisy Mitchell Cox, of Buckland Newton, Dorchester. His headstone bears the inscription "Some Corner Of A Foreign Field That Is For Ever England"

156310 Lance Corporal George Wilson, Royal Army Service Corps, died between the 22nd May 1940 and the 23rd May 1940, aged 20. Wilson; husband of Kathlyn Wilson, of Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.
