Location Information

Les Trois-Pierres is a village and commune 16 miles (25 kilometres) east of Le Havre and 3 miles (5 kilometres) south-west of Bolbec, about 600 yards south of the main Le Havre-Bolbec road (N.13 bis). There is a bus service between Le Havre and Bolbec on the main road. The British grave is near the northern boundary hedge of the churchyard.


Burial Details

7642715 Serjeant Edwin Thomas Goreing, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, attached to the Royal Armoured Corps, died 6th September 1944, aged 34. Son of William Samuel and Mary Ann Goreing; husband of Minnie Ivy Goreing, of Manor Park, Essex. His headstone bears the inscription "A Smiling Face That Won't Come Home Now They've Sounded The Last All Clear"
