BERMERING (BERMERANGE) COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Bermering (or Bermerange) is a village some 45 kilometres south-east of Metz and 6 kilometres south-east of Morhange, a small town at the intersection of the N. 74. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, on the road to Bénestroff.


Burial Details


1862629 Sergeant Frederick James Abery, Flight Engineer in 405 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 24th February 1944, aged 34. Son of Frank J. Abery and May Beatrice Abery, of Hendon, Middlesex. INSCRIPTION. OUR FRED LIES HERE, MOURNED BY US, THO' WE DO NOT SHOW A SORROW WE ALWAYS KNOW.

C/7735 Pilot Officer Douglas Joseph Eastham, Air Gunner in 405 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 24th FEbruary 1944, aged 35. Son of Richard and Beatrice Anne Eastham; husband of Margaret Helen Eastham, of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. INSCRIPTION. YOUR MEMORY HALLOWED IN THE LAND YOU LOVED.

J/87989 Pilot Officer Solomon Kay, Air Gunner in 405 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 24th February 1944, aged 22. Son of Louis and Bella Kay, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. INSCRIPTION. EVER REMEMBERED AND SADLY MISSED BY PARENTS, BROTHERS AND FRIENDS.

1575074 Flight Sergeant Percy George Frank Redstone, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 405 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 24th February 1944, aged 22. Son of Frank Redstone, and of Lily May Redstone, of Southfields, London.
