Location Information

Auchy-au-Bois is a village and commune in the department of the Pas-de-Calais, 40 kilometres north-west of Arras on the road to Boulogne. The graves of the airmen are near the eastern corner of the churchyard.

973942 Warrant Officer Harold Anderson, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 27th August 1943, aged 23. Son of Joseph and Miriam Anderson; husband of Hilda Mary Anderson, of Wythenshawe, Manchester. His headstone bears the inscription "Proud And Treasured Memories Ever To Be Remembered"

1383074 Sergeant Denis Allen George Edwards,  Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 27th August 1943, aged 21. Son of George Henry and Augusta Edwards, of Tottenham, Middlesex.

655232 Flight Sergeant Thomas Kenneth Jones, Navigator/Bomber i
n 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 27th August 1943, aged 23. Son of Howard Thomas Jones and Jane Rose Jones, of Wrexham, Denbighshire. His Headstone bears the inscription Unig Fab Annwyl, Rose A Howard Jones. "Cwsg Nes Gweld Ein Gilydd Eto"


133543 Flying Officer William Watson Locke, Pilot in 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 27th August 1943, aged 22. Son of Maj. Henry Watson Locke and Marion Meikle Nelson Briggs Locke, of Dollar, Clackmannanshire. His headstone bears the inscription "107 Squadron. Second Son Of Major And Mrs. Locke, Belmont, Dollar, Scotland"

His headstone bears the inscription "Of Stranraer, Scotland And Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dearly Loved Husband Of Margot"
