Location Information

The cemetery is situated in Langestraat 200, AN 7491 Delden The cemetery is South of the N364, and Langestraat runs roughly parallel with the N364. Langestraat is accessed from a traffic light controlled junction which is approx 3 miles East of the junction of th N347 with the N346. East of the entrance, and close to the southern boundary hedge, are the graves of 14 Commonwealth burials from World War Two. 

Total Burials: 14. 

Identified Casualties: United Kingdom 7, Canada 1, New Zealand 1. Total 9.

Vickers Wellington Bomber of No23 Operational Training Unit took off from RAF Pershore. It was shot down by First Lieutenant Werner Rowlin of 8/Nachtjagdgeschwader 1, a Luftwaffe night fighter wing in a Junkers Ju88 and crashed at Azelo in the province of Overijssel, Delden, Holland on 26th June 1942. All five crew members were killed and are all buried in Ambt-Delden General Cemetery.

Son of Dorothy Agnes Inch; husband of Ivy H. Inch, of St. Thomas, Exeter. His headstone bears the inscription "Darling Husband Of Ivy, Precious Daddy Of Janet And Marilyn." "Until Er Meet Again"

1023907 Sergeant John Reginald Jones, 
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 28. Son of John Richard and Margaret Jones; husband of Edith Jones, of Fazakerley, Liverpool. His headstone bears the inscription "Loved With A Love Beyond All Words; Lost With A Grief Beyond All Tears"

Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 31. Son of Frank and Lucy Hannah Swales; husband of Marjorie Swales, of Gomersal, Yorkshire. His headstone bears the inscription "Until The Day Break" Loving Wife Marjorie, Daughter Sheila And All The Family"
